What is Slow Thaw?

Just when you thought it was safe to leave the dance floor, here’s a trio that will put the mind lock on your soul and beg you to ask “what are you playing?!” as cascades of loops and beats with bursts of The Truth that hurts and guides these sonic explorers.
The Truth that’s been buried for years. The Truth that's been thawing undisturbed, forgotten and dismissed.The Truth of the Matter is that the group known as Allá has been on a long Slow Thaw. Like a fully formed animal from another galaxy and dimension, encased in an impenetrable tomb of ice, feeding off the moisture and bugs. Sleeping but not dead.
As the rest of the world goes about their Dance Of Self Destruction, Allá was on full maintenance mode. They got shook, woke and almost broke. But they never Closed For Business.
Through all of The Troubles though, Allá never faded. They were mentally preparing for Revenge on the Consumer Corporate Festival Zombies that are dancing but not listening. Revenge On The Charmed Lifers.They’re ready to wake your ass up and lay The Mantra that is Slow Thaw.

Slow Thaw is a new but familiar approach to musical expression. Casting off the traditional constrained and the unsustainable rock band format for samplers, found sounds, dusty records which all feed into the mixing board and pumped out into the ether from an unknown radio transmission. Slow Thaw is performed live by humans, no edits, full of happy accidents and technical difficulties as we push our machines and creativity to the limits.

This isn't Radio For The Mind. It's Radio Of The Mind. 3 Minds. 6 Hands. 3 Hearts and the Allá Dragon behind them with a desperate hunger.
Slow Thaw gives a chance for the Ledezma Brothers to bring their lifelong love of sampling and audio manipulation using modern technology. Lupe Martinez can now be called the Queen Of The Loops.
Slow Thaw is the Dance Party Of The Now & Then. An Electronic Mantra of The Modern Age. Embracing the imperfections and relishing the Unexpected hidden meanings that manifest with every loop which reveals The Truth Of The Matter.
